Flyers are crazy to be looking for a long in the tooth goaltender to rescue their season |

Quick in Chicago?
This makes less sense than no sense, if that were possible. the Hawks are OUT of the race, period. Their defense is a mess, they are aging and are not over-loaded with a great farm (it's getting better, but long ways to go), and oh yea have multiple players getting huge bank for not commensurate level of play, ie, remaining cap problems thanks to the bumbling GM. They are a team that clearly needs to go head long into a rebuild.
So naturally, the best thing to do would be add a high priced goalie, trading the best few prospects we have, to a team going nowhere. |

Jeff Hackett had to retire mid season because of "vertigo" which turned out to be post concusion related after the fact.
It is a horrible feeling and when your symptoms come and go...it is even worse. |

Good thing Chicago isn't in Tank mode considering they're only 1 point of out of being in last place in the entire league.
so yeah, makes sense, let's give up what little they have to get a high priced goalie that will make them end up in 29th out of 31 teams this year.
Makes so much logical sense... |

SMFH Hawks are the worst team in the league. They are tanking whether they want to or not. |

Guys! You misunderstood Eklund! Quick is the answer!
Quick to the Hawks, he plays goal AND he plays on a line with Kane up front. Win win for everyone. |

Canes will make Darling available. Hell, we'll even be the ones to throw in the bag of pucks! |

Wouldn't be shocked if Crow calls it a career at some point here. He really struggled with this last year and he's got a new born baby. He needs to worry about his long term health for himself and his family. I hope it's not the case but with the way the Hawks are playing there's not need to risk it to come back and possibly get a third one.
As far as the Hawks going out to get a Goalie, I mean I wouldn't be shocked if the called LA about Quick (because that's part of being a GM, ya gotta make the calls even if they or any of us think there's pretty much no shot just to see) but it doesn't make a lot of sense for them. They're pretty much dead last in the league. Just long term IR Crawford, try and trade Cam Ward to a contender looking for a better backup (WSH, TOR, etc.), and play Forsberg and Delia to see how the fair.
That being said, knowing Stan and his desperateness to save his job he'll call Carolina up and give up like a 3rd Rd pick to bring back local hero Scott Darling and hope he can lead the team back to the promise land... |

Hart call up is temp until Elliott is back with Neuvrith. No choice and might as well give him a game or two |

god I hope not when he could have had him for free a week ago. MUCH rather see Forsberg and Delia get a chance to show what they can do before we sink more money into our cap |

Agreed. Does not mean anything more than they need a goalie and he is a goalie. |

Concussions are no fun at all and the effects can last the rest of your life. As far as I know, I suffered from two concussions and I still have problems after all these years with headaches and depression that I now take medication to control and lessen the symptoms. My heart goes out to Crawford and anyone suffering from the lasting effects of a concussion. |

You'd have to think that the Hawks would rather lose for Hughes at this point, sooner than trade for Quick.
Flyers call up Hart. Should be interesting to see if he's ready to take over. A bit young, probably needs to spend more time in the AHL but you never know. I'd like to get a look Philippe Myers, Frost is on the way.
If things aren't looking great by the deadline, they need to get what they can for Simmonds and part ways with guys like Andrew ManDonald, Dale Weise, Michael Raffl and Jori Lehtera. Change the culture, retool and next year should be better.
Bye bye Hasktol. |

Many of you are asking me how this injury could effect the marketplace right now and it very well could have a profound impact
No actually I’m not asking I’m just thinking... you and concussions - finally something makes sense around here |
